Not much is going on new here with my horses. We are almost ready for winter but I still have a few things left to get done. I probably should get on that since it is snowing right now.
Earlier this week I had the pleasure of being a “lay over” location for 2 horses. A friend from SD had purchased a new mare from TX and sold one of her horses to another friend in WI. She came down on Tuesday and brought with her the horse she’d sold.
At around 12:30 am Equine Express showed up with her new mare. After unloading her we loaded up the other horse to go to his final destination.
It almost felt like Christmas and the horses were the presents. Not my presents of course, I just got the sneak peek before they did.
One of their “passengers” was a mini burro/donkey. He was the cutest thing! Apparently he was found running down a major highway/interstate in Texas earlier that week and was heading to his new home in WI. I tried telling the driver he could leave him at our place but he decline.

Kinda like being a grandparent - you get to have all the fun and none of the mess ;>)
