What a beautiful morning!

Yeah right! I’m so sick of this snow. What is worse is that once this snow is gone all we will have is mud and lots of it!

Sunday I went out to the farm so Molly could play and to file my taxes (more fun). We have several bales out in the pasture and when I pulled up Nikki was butted up against one, Cat was butted up against another, Lu was butted up against the other one and Black was standing nice and cozy all by herself in the 3-sided. The wind was blowing and it was cold. There was no way I was going to the barn for anything more then to chore.

I’d been in the house for about an hour when I looked out the window to see where the horses were. Lu and Cat were on a rampage! They were flying all over the pasture. At first I thought Lu was chasing Cat but then Lu got in the lead (umm that’s a very rare site) and off they went. I didn’t expect it to last long but it was fun to see them run and play. Needless to say – it last a LOT longer then I expected. They were flying through the snow (which is quite deep I might add) and freaking me out. I saw vet bill after vet bill as they’d round a corner or run straight for the high tensile fence.

At one point Lu got Cat in a corner and she was “cutting” her. Cat is no dummy and finally just blasted through Lucy’s shoulder and flew across the pasture. We have pretty high “banks” of snow where we have pushed the snow to get the bales out. As Lu and Cat would run they would jump the banks. I didn’t know Lucy could get that high off of the ground! I’ll be those two ran and played for a solid 30 minutes! Nikki even through a few head tosses and kicks in but she left the running to the young ones. I’m not even sure that Black looked at them while they were being goofy.

Right now I’m just dreaming. Dreaming of a day when there is no snow, no rain and no mud and it is above 50*! I’m hoping that day comes soon!
