The weather here has been so miserable the horses are sweating without a rider and for some reason this type of sweat doesn’t seem to engage their brains – if anything, it seems to make them use their brains less.
I took these around 9:00 last night. Cat was just miserable.
The heat doesn’t seem to be affecting the flies at all. I couldn't get a shot of her where she wasn't stomping flies.
Our heat index today is supposed to reach 116*. I think I’ll pass on riding for now.
On a side note – since it was too hot to ride I went to see the documentary Buck with a few friends. If you haven’t seen it I recommend going.

That looks miserable. Our flies seem to like the heat. They multiply at an alarming rate. Hope some cool(er) weather is on the way.
